3Ls: Report your pro bono hours by Monday at noon (deadline extended)

Third-year students with 30, 50, or 100 hours of pro bono work completed from September 1, 2016 – March 20, 2017 will receive special recognition at the Honors and Awards ceremony on April 19, 2017. If  you think that you are eligible for an award, please fill out an hours log (attached in a previous email) for each pro bono placement (use more than one log if necessary).

Tech Law also recognizes the “Pro Bono Graduating Student of the Year.” This award recognizes a graduating student who has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to pro bono legal work throughout his or her time in law school. Eligible students must have performed at least 200 hours of pro bono legal work by March 20th of their final semester of law school. I am asking that all eligible students send me a résumé and a short, 1-page summary of why they are deserving of the recognition. The Honors and Awards Committee will then vote on the winner. If you think that you have 200 hours of pro bono legal work throughout your time in law school, please send me the requested information by Monday, March 27th (we have extended the original deadline). I have a log of cumulative hours from previous years, but you should also send me your hours logs from this school year to add to my records.
