2nd Annual: Will Beg For Food: Puppies and Kittens Supply Drive!
The Humane Society of West Texas needs help to care for all the dogs and cats they rescue. So SALDF will be putting out a box outside the library from February 18th through March 4th to help collect donations for the animals at the Humane Society of West Texas. Please donate anything you can to help these sweet adorable puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats who are in need.
When: February 18th through March 4th
In general we are looking for any pet supplies for dogs and cats. But in particular, Items that would be great to donate are:
Supplies: Collars, Leashes, Cat Litter, New/used pet supplies, Toys, Hand Warmers (like Heat Factory brand, these are to use as a heat source for orphaned infant animals), Clean used towels and blankets, Kennels, Crates, Pet Carriers, Humane cat traps for feral cat trap and release program, Doghouses or igloos
Food: Purina Puppy or Dog Chow, Iams Kitten or Cat food, Canned kitten or cat food, KMR Kitten Milk Replacer, Esbilac Puppy Milk, Treats
Also, other brands of food are OK. We appreciate any food you can donate, but those brands are the kinds that the Humane Society’s Fosters prefer. Also, some pet food brands are too low quality and are too harsh on the stomachs of the rescue pets.
The Milk Replacer is especially desired!
Medicine: Unexpired heartworm medication or flea/tick medication
