The Federalist Society invites you to join us for a special event featuring Stephen J. Hammer, litigation associate in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Mr. Hammer brings a distinguished background to our campus, having clerked for Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. of the United States Supreme Court, Judge Gregory G. Katsas of the D.C. Circuit, and Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton of the Sixth Circuit.
Mr. Hammer graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as Managing Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. Before law school, he studied theology at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar and earned his A.B. summa cum laude in Classics from Princeton University, where he graduated as Latin salutatorian. He also served with distinction as an infantry officer in the 82nd Airborne Division, earning the Bronze Star.
At this event, Mr. Hammer will present a comprehensive overview of the Supreme Court’s October 2024 term and share his perspective on what to expect from the Court’s upcoming 2025 term. This promises to be an insightful and engaging conversation for all students interested in constitutional law, appellate practice, and the role of the judiciary.
