Federal Work Study Funding for Public Interest Summer Jobs

Federal Work Study Funding for Public Interest Summer Jobs

TTU Law School is offering an opportunity for students working in summer public interest jobs to apply for the Federal Work Study Program. To be eligible for the Federal Work Study Program funding, students must be eligible to receive financial aid, the employer must fit the category definition, and agree to enter an agreement with Texas Tech. Your first step towards participation is to meet with the Career Center. See Kayla Wimberley or Saige Lee with any questions. Funding and participation are limited so see the Career Center today!

The Law School Career Center will assist students in finding legal internship positions, meet with law students to explain the FWS program, encourage application, and refer students to the Law School Financial Aid Office for assistance. With the law student, the Law School Career Center will communicate with the placement to request participation in the FWS Program to benefit a student who was selected for a summer internship. This will include providing the Off-Campus Work-Student Agreement and Schedule to the placement employer, answering questions, and providing executed documents to designated University or law school personnel.
