The Study Abroad Competitive Scholarship is funded by the $4 International Education Fee that all Texas Tech students pay every semester. The scholarship is competitive and money is awarded to Texas Tech students who will study abroad on Texas Tech approved programs. Roughly 75% of SACS applicants receive a scholarship award ranging from $250 to $750 for summer programs and $750 to $2,000 for semester programs.
If you are planning on attending one of our summer abroad programs in Lithuania or Mexico, or at one of our semester abroad programs, do not wait until the last minute to apply or miss the deadline entirely! The application process for Summer and Fall 2016 will open up on January 21, 2016 and will close on March 4, 2016. In order to apply, you will need to submit an application with a "Statement of Purpose" and two letters of recommendations.
