There is a vacancy on the Student Bar Association's Executive Board for the position of Vice President of Organizations. The requirements of the position are as follows: to perform the duties of the President in his/her absence, to attend all SBA meetings and events, to serve as liaison between the law school organizations and the SBA, to assist registered student orgs in updating and registering their respective orgs with TTU main campus on an annual basis, to assist new orgs in registering, to coordinate student org participation in the Clean Campus program, to serve on the SBA budget committee, to coordinate and execute the Fall semester student org fair, to coordinate the student org orientation, to coordinate and execute the Spring chili cook off, to attend and support all SBA sponsored events including but not limited to class fundraisers and the barrister's ball, and to perform other duties bestowed on him/her by this Constitution or by the SBA President.
Per our Constitution, this vacancy must be filled by a school wide election. The election is set to occur on September 15, 2015. This will give you 1 week to get in all pertinent paperwork to run (due Sept. 7 by 5pm), as well as one week to run however you so choose. Serving on the SBA Exec Board has tremendous benefits and gives you an opportunity to represent the student body of Tech Law.
