Call for Papers
The Journal of Biosecurity, Biosafety, and Biodefense Law is pleased to accept student submissions for its seventh volume, to be published in June 2016.

Manuscript topics should relate to the fields of biosecurity, biosafety, or biodefense law and be between 20-40 typed, double spaced pages with 12pt font in the body and 10pt font footnotes.

Previously published titles include:
  • A Comparative Legal Analysis of the Biosecurity Implications of GMOs in the United States and Uganda
  • A Dangerous Curiosity: Examining Constitutional Protection of Scientific Research
  • A History of Global Biosecurity Law in Five (5) Pathogens
  • Attributing and Averting Agricultural Attacks: Why Federal Food Regulations Fail to Foster Food Security
  • Does the United States Government have a Right to Restrict Scientific Articles about the Research of Dangerous Viruses?
  • Mandatory Laboratory Regulations: Is the United States Over-Regulating Select Agent Research?
  • Smallpox: A Comparative Analysis of the United States and Australia
  • Tort Liability of the U.S. When Bioweapons Escape: An Investigation Into the Maureen Stevens Case
  • Use of Vaccines in a Public Health Emergency
  • West Nile Virus and Legal Responses: The Effects on Federal, State, Public Health Law, and Attribution
Students currently enrolled in Dean Sutton's Global Biosecurity Law and Law and Biotechnology courses are especially invited to submit manuscripts.

Submissions should be sent to Theda Strickler at theda.strickler@ttu.edu no later than Friday, May 15th at 5pm.
