JOHN C.AKARD SCHOLARSHIP QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) Currently a second-year student in good standing in the Law School.
(2) Interest in commercial law and bankruptcy; and
(3) Interest in participating as a third-year student in activities of the West Texas Bankruptcy Bar. (The primary activity of the WTBBA is a monthly luncheon meeting attended by many of the area bankruptcy practitioners and bankruptcy judge. The luncheon meeting typically includes a presentation on a bankruptcy related subject.)
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Submit a resume together with a cover letter addressed to the John C. Akard Scholarship Selection Committee summarizing your qualifications and your interest in commercial law, bankruptcy, and participating as a third-year student in the activities of the West Texas Bankruptcy Bar Association.
Applications should be e-mailed to Professor Pawlowic no later than Monday, March 9, 3:00 p.m. If possible, please submit both your cover letter and resume as attachments to the email.
