Special Spring Opportunity in the Governor's Office
The Governor's Office has asked whether we have a 2L or 3L student who would like to participate in a full-time regional externship with that office in Austin during Spring 2015. Ordinarily, we select for this program in the spring of the preceding year, but we have chosen to proceed with a special selection process in an attempt to provide a student with a session-year opportunity.

In short, you would extern with the General Counsel in the Governor's Office for 35 hours per week in Austin. In addition, if selected, you would take the Regional Externship Support course in Austin; the initial meetings are January 7-8. You would also have approximately two multi-hour evening meetings each month. The position is unpaid, but you would receive 12 hours of academic credit and a truly unique educational experience.
To qualify, you must:

• Be a Tech Law 2L or 3L in good standing;
• Demonstrate that you will be able to complete your advanced requirements before graduation;
• For a 3L, be able to graduate with 12 hours of course credit (plus any journal and other non-classroom credit you expect to earn in the spring);
• Be willing to live in Austin.

The application process is short and straightforward. If you are interested in applying, please contact Corey Clem corey.clem@ttu.edu. She will provide you with a copy of the application and further instructions. Completed applications are due Friday, November 7, 2014, by 5:00 pm
