Come and learn about the 2015-2016 Regional Externship Program on November 12, 2014, at 12:00 pm in the Lanier Auditorium. Pizza will be provided. This program allows Tech Law 3Ls (and select 2Ls) to live, work, and study in Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, or Houston for a full semester while earning full-time Tech Law credit. Next year we expect positions also to be available in Lubbock and Midland. Externship placements include courts, government agencies, legal-aid organizations, and legal departments for corporations. The 2014-2015 placement list is available here. At the meeting we will share possible new placements as well. This session will provide important information about the Regional Externship Program and application process, which will begin in January 2015 for both Fall 2015 and Spring 2016. Current 2Ls who are considering the externship program are highly encouraged to attend. 1Ls are also encouraged to attend so that you can start planning your required curriculum to permit you the best opportunity possible to participate as a 3L.
