Presidential Management Fellows Program Application Period Oct. 1 – Oct. 15
For more about The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program, visit http://www.pmf.gov/becomeapmf/index.aspx. The program is administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Each year, candidates apply for the prestigious title of PMF Finalists. Selected Finalists are eligible for appointment as Fellows.
To become a PMF, you must participate in an arduous, multi-phase process. It takes patience and endurance, but also gives you a chance to demonstrate your leadership ability and potential. Last year, there were more than 12,000 applicants with only 663 achieving Finalist status. As a PMF, you will have earned your place in the Program, and the opportunity to grow professionally, serve your country, and make a difference!
The very first step in successfully becoming a PMF is paying attention to the details of the annual application and assessment process. For detailed eligibility requirements, check out the Eligibility page. Once the application period opens, it will appear on USAJOBS (www.usajobs.gov). The application is typically open for two weeks and closes at 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time) on the last day. Review the Application Process to learn about all the steps to apply.
This Become A PMF section outlines major components of the application and assessment process. Applicants should review each component, including the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), which may be updated throughout the process.

If you have further questions, The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program Office invites interested applicants with any unique questions regarding the program and application process to join the Coffee Chat on Wednesday, October 2nd, any time between 2 and 4 PM (Eastern Time).

The Coffee Chat will be conducted on-line through Adobe Connect and will have dedicated PMF Program Office staff to answer questions as submitted. On October 2nd, applicants can connect at http://opm.adobeconnect.com/pmfapplicantchat/ and select “Enter as a Guest.”
Adobe Connect computer capability can be tested beforehand by going to http://opm.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm. Adobe Connect is also supported on mobile devices. For more information, please visit http://www.adobe.com/products/adobeconnect/mobile-meetings.html.
Most questions will get answered within a couple minutes. We anticipate extremely high-volume periods at certain times throughout the time period. During these times, responses may take 10 minutes or more. We ask for your patience during these periods.
